Gaillardia Oranges & Lemons

Description: 15"-24", yellow and orange/red trumpet flowersrmation or disagrees with what we have written. The long awaited and much talked about Gaillardia is finally here! We must say that all that hype that surrounded this new perennial was well deserved. Fanfare is absolutely remarkable - you will not believe the blooms on this Gaillardia. Huge tangerine orange flowers flare out like trumpets with bright canary yellow tips. Gaillardia Fanfare is a flowering machine! Blooms first start to appear in late spring and continue exploding from the dark green plants right up through fall. Plants are compact and sturdy, growing to an average height of 14 inches. Fanfare requires full sun and an average garden soil a bit on the dry side. Very easy to grow and will bloom relentlessly through out summers heat, humidity and dry spells. Fanfare is in our opinion one of the best new perennials introduced in years. Order early - Fanfare is sure to sell out quickly!


Gaura Passionate Blush

Description: A compact perennial that grows to 18 inches tall by 20 inches wide with 1 inch long leaves along red stems and reddish buds that open to a display of beautiful pink flowers. Bloom season is from spring through fall and can be prolonged by trimming spent flower stems in mid summer. Gaura are tough plants that tolerate a wide range of soils and moisture but perform best in full sun in a well drained soil with occasional to regular summer watering. Hardy to around 15°F. Trim back plants half way the ground in late winter/ early spring to promote dense new growth. This plant is promoted by PlantHaven in the U.S. and is part of the Passionate series of Gaura from PGA (Plant Growers Australia). This series is known for a more erect compact habit and prolific flowering on shorter stems that are a burgundy red color.

Description: Iceland poppies come in a variety of solid and blended colors. Although they are technically perennials, extreme heat is destructive to these poppies, often making them annuals or biennials. Delicate bowl-shaped petals release a subtle fragrance. Flowers are supported by hairy curved stems; feathery blue-green leaves range from 1-6 inches long. Iceland poppies prefer not to be disturbed.
